Too Much Hunger for “The Hunger Games”

I know! You too? Everyone is going crazy about this Hunger Games movie. Well atleast everyone who have read the book. And I’m proud to say that I’m as crazy as everyone who dying to see the movie. Yes, I read the book. I got hooked from the very first chapter and until then I never stopped. Its kinda like my favorite cake(Blueberry Cheesecake), it just keeps me coming back for more every time I stop. I was able to read the entire book 1 in two days, well I got a life too. I need to sleep and eat but because of Hunger Games, suddenly I was on a forced diet. Which is ironic by the way because of the title(not making any sense here). I don’t wanna waste time for big and fancy meals. I got myself stuck in this room burning my entire weekend on this book.

I though everything will be over after reading the book. The excitement, anxiety of knowing what will happen next and all this crazy stuff the you could think of. But it never stopped until I realize that there is movie. Yes, I couldn’t wait any longer. I watched the trailer and it gives me a better picture of what I read. The premiere was supposed to be on Friday, March 23 and so I made plans with my friends that Friday is “The Hunger Games Day”.

Then the good news. I was talking to a friend a while ago and she told me that the premiere was moved today. For atlease 10 seconds i was stunned. I couldn’t move a muscle until it finally sink it and so I went nuts. I got chills from all over my body. So I search for the nearest possible movie house. Finally I found one, one near my apartment. The movie will start at 11:59 PM. I asked my friend if she wanted to watch it too and I just as I thought, she never hesitated as well. She is actually as excited as I am to watch the movie, only crazier. I called the movie house and ask If I could make reservations for the movie. Unfortunately, they said no but I can go there and buy the tickets in advance. So packed my bag and rush to the movie house. I even ride a motorcycle all the way to the bus stop just to make it in time. I arrived there surprisingly early. They will show the movie in 2 cinemas. The first one is full so I have to settle for the second one. It was not as busy as I expected. I got the ticket in less that 10 minute. I was expecting that to wait there for atleast a hour because of the line. But there was no line so Thanks you God. I got my tickets. I decided to go home first because I have to wait for 3 hours before the movie starts. Then I decided to take a nap.

It was almost 11 so i woke up and get ready. I called my friend and she’s on her way too. I rushed to the movie house because its a free seating so everyone can seat wherever they I want. Ofcourse I don’t want to seat in the front row, not for this movie. I entered the mall and the guard ask me where I am I going. I said I catching the last full show so he checked my tickets and let me in. By the time I came into the cinema, I was shocked. It was empty and all the lights are off. I looked for security. I found one and he asked for my tickets. So I showed it to him and found out that it was actually written there that the movie will start at 8:00 pm. It was devastating. All my excitement suddenly vanished. I called my friend and told her the bad news.

I went home and made this blog because until now, I’m still frustrated. I hope I can refund the ticket I bought.
